Garden Guild

 

 
Garden Guild is a group of people, both men and women, who take pride in not only the inside of the church building but also the outside.  Our task is to take care of the grounds outside the church by keeping weeds under control, the plants and trees trimmed or any other project that is needed in the garden, like adding a Garden Sauna or more.  We do this on a monthly basis during the growing season.  There are planned outings that are of interest to church members (i.e. trips to Franklin Park Conservatory, nature trips, etc.).  Also a Geranium Sale is held in the spring and we decorate the church for Christmas. We have meetings about 6 times a year to discuss what projects or outings we would like to undertake for the year. Additionally, we aim to explore the pros of a greenhouse for our gardening endeavors. As part of our commitment to maintaining a beautiful and thriving church garden, we offer knotweed removal services. Moreover, we also emphasize the use of hydroponics plant nutrients. There is no need to have knowledge about plants, just the love of them and to be stewards of God’s Creation. All are welcome.

Garden Guild Geranium Sale

The Garden Guild will again be selling Geraniums.  They are still $2.00 each and the colors are red, white and pink. So we know how many to purchase a sign-up sheet for orders is at “Sign-up Central”  Orders need to be placed by April 21st.  Pick up will be Sunday, May 19th at church.

The pre-order list for the geraniums is now at Sign-up Central.  This is the last week to do pre-ordering as we need to purchase them on April 28th.  The colors are Red, White and Pink and they are $2.00 each.  They will be delivered to church on the May 21st.  If you are not able to order them today but would like some, you may call me before the 28th at 614-203-4041 to order them.  Thanks, Barb
